Welcome to Resting Trip Face.

We’re Mark and Madhu — a couple who love traveling, loathe tourist traps, and believe coffee should be its own food group.

We’re not here to tell you to “wake up early and beat the crowds.” We’re here because we did wake up early, the crowds still won, and the café across the street looked infinitely better anyway.

Our goal? To find the places that don’t show up in the top three TripAdvisor results — the kind of spots that smell like roasted beans, sound like soft jazz, and have three locals, one cat, and zero influencers (until now, sorry).

We love food that’s worth the calories, not the hashtags — so if you’re into overpriced microgreens on a plate, you might hate it here. But if you’re into cozy restaurants tucked behind alleys, cafés with too many plants, and full-day itineraries that let you actually breathe, welcome home.

We also have a soft spot for great bars, rooftops with views that make you linger, and the occasional club night that somehow turns into sunrise. Balance, right?
